Yesterday I made a fresh loaf of bread and it was devoured in minutes! I decided to make another loaf today so we have more. Here are the step by step instructions on how to make the easiest vegan bread. Step-by-step photos below :)
Ingredients:
3 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour + a little more for sprinkling
1 3/4 cup of warm water
2 teaspoons of instant dry yeast
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
Instructions:
Mix all dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
After mixing make a well in the middle of the bowl. (look at photos below for reference)
Pour the warm water into the well and mix in small amounts of the flour from the outside edges.
Once the dough is completely combined cover loosely with a dish towel and set aside for 2 hours to rise. It should double in size.
After 2 hours have passed preheat the oven to 450º with a pizza stone inside the oven. Place the bowl with the dough in it on top of the stove to get some of the heat from the oven.
Place the bread on the pizza stone and use a serrated knife to make marks on the top, or just leave it how it is.
Set the timer for 30 minutes and walk away, without opening the oven at all during the cooking process.
Take out and allow time to cool before cutting, enjoy!
